Self-guided activities
The following self-guided activities will be running daily during the school holidays (closed Mondays).
- Visit any time between 9am - 4pm to take part.
- Parents are responsible for their children at all times and are encouraged to join in on the fun!
- Bookings not required. Entry is free.
Wild Child License Trail
Time: 9am - 4pm
Activity: Grab your Wild Child License Card from a Naturescaper before embarking on the Naturescape Adventure Quest; will you complete all the challenges?

Loose Parts Bush Camp
Time: 9am - 4pm
Activity: Make your own cubby creations out of our ‘trash n treasure’!

Guided activities
The following guided activities will be running on specified dates and times during the school holidays (closed Mondays).
- You do not need to attend for the whole session time. Drop in and out.
- Please dress for the weather and bring a change of clothes as children may get muddy and wet!
- Parents are responsible for their children at all times and are encouraged to join in on the fun! (NAIDOC Week activities may differ.)
- Bookings not required. Entry is free. (NAIDOC Week activities may differ.)
Tuesday 2 July
Mud Cakes
Time: 10am – 11am
Activity: Make and decorate mud cakes using bush materials. Followed by free play until 4pm.
Location: Mud Kitchen, The Spring, Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park
Mini Worlds for Mini Bugs
Time: 11am - 2pm
Activity: Create a mini garden fit for a grasshopper, a spa for a spider or a mansion for a mantis, using recycled materials and treasures we can find in the bush.

Wednesday 3 July
Muddy Bugs
Time: 10am – 11am
Activity: Make bug artworks out of mud and bush materials. Followed by free play until 4pm.

Story Web Collaborative Artwork
Time: 11am - 2pm
Activity: Capture memories from your adventures at Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park by helping to weave bush treasures into a giant story web.
Location: Banksia Base, Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park
ReMida - Trash to Treasure - (8-15yrs )- Drop-Off Activity - BOOKINGS REQUIRED
Time: 10am – 12pm
Activity: Join us for an awesome hands-on workshop where we explore how plastic and rubbish affects our wildlife and the environment. Get ready to turn trash into treasure by creating a threatened species artwork using repurposed materials from ReMida. Challenge your thinking, boost your creativity and develop your problem-solving skills while making something truly unique and impactful.

NAIDOC Week - Keep the Fire Burning - Kulungas (4-7yrs) - BOOKINGS REQUIRED
Time: 10am - 11.30am
Activity: Join us during NAIDOC Week to celebrate this year's theme, the enduring resilience and strength of First Nations people. We will keep the fire burning around the Kaarla (fire) as Kings Park's Aboriginal Education Officer Rickeeta Walley shares stories and cultural activities.

NAIDOC Week - Keep the Fire Burning - (8-14yrs) - Drop-Off Activity - BOOKINGS REQUIRED
Time: 12.30pm - 2.30pm
Activity: Join us during NAIDOC Week to celebrate this year's theme, the enduring resilience and strength of First Nations people. In this drop-off activity, children aged 8-14yrs will join Kings Park's Aboriginal Education Officer Rickeeta Walley as we make damper and yarn around the Kaarla (fire) followed by an animal encounter with some friendly locals.
