Kings Park Volunteer Guides
Join the Kings Park Volunteer Guides on a free journey of discovery.
The Kings Park Volunteer Guides are a dynamic group of over 140 active people of varying ages and backgrounds. They all have a love for Kings Park and a desire to share this passion with visitors.
Not only do our beloved guides staff the Visitor Information Centre, but they also conduct free daily guided walks twice a day, lead special walks throughout the year, and contribute to park projects and research.

Becoming a Kings Park Volunteer Guide
Training courses to become a Kings Park Guide are run every few years. If you are interested in becoming a guide, please send your contact details to: training@kingsparkguides.com.au
Before a training course is scheduled to take place, advertisements are placed in local newspapers, the Friends of Kings Park newsletter, and on display boards in and around Kings Park.
All new guides are required to complete a 14 week training course.
Kings Park Guides enjoy monthly meetings, presentations on a range of subjects and excursions for continued learning.
The commitment of at least three duties a month is required of Kings Park Guides, usually at least one in the Visitor Information Centre and one walk. All guides are expected to do both.
