Outdoor Education

Be active and safe in the natural environment.

Kings Park’s Outdoor Education program is a great introduction in practicing skills to be safe and self-reliant in the natural environment. With a focus on minimal impact, students are encouraged to respect and protect the natural environment while learning how to explore and enjoy it safely. Develop basic bush craft skills including shelter building, finding drinking water, building safe campfires*, making damper or energy snacks and fire lighting techniques. 

Available as two 45min classes or one 90min class.  

*Terms 2 and 3 only

Students will: 

  • Make decisions during outdoor experiences. 
  • Understand the impact humans have on the environment. 
  • Discuss basic planning required for an expedition in Western Australia (basic needs). 
  • Experience the natural environment to help promote personal growth and development, health and wellbeing.  
  • Rehearse and evaluate simple first aid for managing situations in a bushland contact.  
Fee Structure

Secondary School Programs (Years 7 to 12) 

$12.50 per student

$187.50 minimum booking fee

  • Teachers and supervising adults are free of charge
  • Payment can be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) or credit card
  • You will receive an email confirming your booking once we have received and processed your completed application form. 
  •  You will receive a tax invoice within one week of your excursion.  Please confirm any changes to student numbers before the day of your excursion.
  • Kings Park Education reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time.
