Prepare to be amazed by Lightscape 2025 powered by Roy Hill – the world-renowned, award-winning spectacle that’s set to return to Kings Park this winter with an entirely NEW and unforgettable experience!

Fast becoming Perth’s favourite winter tradition, Lightscape 2025 is bigger, better and brighter than ever before – featuring more than 20 spectacular works by international and local artists that delve into the world of natural attraction.

Discover nature’s wonders through a bug's eye – wandering through radiant beams of ever-changing colour, beneath towering flowers and between giant bush blossoms, all wrapped in an immersive soundscape.

Enjoy delicious food and drinks under the stars, with mulled wine and toasted marshmallows adding to the magic.

Paint a Pollinator! Create and Win


Hey kids!

Are you school or kindy-aged, love art and learning about nature? Here's your chance to show off your creativity, learn about the amazing world of pollinators and be a star at the Lightscape show!

Draw or paint a bird or bug for the chance to see your work lit up in Kings Park’s ‘lantern show’ on the Lightscape trail in June/July in front of thousands of visitors!

How to enter

  • Draw or paint your favourite pollinator (we've listed some ideas below!)
  • Add some beautiful flowers or plants they might visit
  • Submit your art by 31 March 2025 (click here)
  • Winners will be notified by email

  • ALL WINNERS - Your work on show at Lightscape!
  • PLUS 10x TOP ARTWORKS - Will receive a FREE family pass to the Lightscape preview night.

How to create your pollinator piece

  • Create the artwork on A4 paper in portrait layout
  • Use white paper
  • Use bright and bold paint colours for your actual artwork / paintings
  • Try not to make the detail of your artwork / paintings too complicated or small
  • Strong, simple lines and shapes work best!
  • Try not to fill in the whole page with colour! Leave some spaces or backgrounds white 
  • Test your design by holding it up to a sunny window to see how the light shines through it
