'Local Hero' features masses of glossy red buds in mid winter followed by an abundance of pink flowers in mid spring.
These waxy blooms flower for an extended period complimented by a backdrop of fresh, green and fine foliage creating a wonderful display.
- A rounded shrub with waxy flowers
- Grows to approximately 80cm high x 1.5m wide
- Prefers an open sunny or partly shaded position
- Grows in a wide range of free-draining soils
- Tolerant of hot dry conditions and has a low water requirement once established
