Event information

The Kings Park bushland is a wonderfully diverse and important slice of Perth’s natural environment.

Join our passionate Bushland team on a guided visit to the nature trail in the Kings Park Bushland to learn about Perth’s beautiful green heart, the work that goes in to caring for our urban bushland and to learn more about our treasured endemic species, including orchids, fungi and fauna.

This accessible visit to the KP Bushland will visit some key species in the area of bushland surrounding the nature trail, adjacent to the Botanic Garden Car Park on Forrest Drive.

Note: Keep an eye on the weather forecast and bring a jacket with you – the event will go ahead in light to moderate rain! Storms or severe weather will mean a postponement; refunds will be offered to registrants who cannot attend the rescheduled date.

Transport and Parking: The meeting point for this tour is near the Botanic Gardens Car Park, which has two ACROD bays, as well as several standard bays. There is further parking nearby along Forrest Drive, and additional ACROD bays a short distance away in the Eucalyptus, Forrest and Whadjuk Car Parks. As parking areas in Kings Park are very busy on weekends, we suggest arriving with a bit of time to spare just in case.

Please refer to this parking map for further details.

For those arriving by public transport: Transperth bus route 935 travels from St Georges Terrace right into the heart of the park at the Fraser Avenue Precinct. The Blue Cat bus travels between Perth Busport and Kings Park, via Perth Station and Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.
