Event information
This National Eucalypt Day, we’re celebrating the iconic and diverse Eucalypt species endemic to Western Australia! As part of your visit to the Friends of Kings Park Plant Sale and our National Eucalypt Day event at Poolgarla Parkland, why not book a guided walk with Kings Park Collections Manager Amanda Shade and Arboriculture Curator Chelsea Payne.
Amanda and Chelsea will meet you at the Marri Gazebo and lead you on a specially curated walk celebrating some of the lesser-known small Eucalypt species suitable for resilient managed landscapes and waterwise home gardens. These beautiful trees play a vital role in cooling our cities, providing shade in our homes and neighbourhoods, and supporting our native wildlife with food and shelter.
Western Australia is home to some of the most unique highly ornamental Eucalypt species. Guaranteed you will want to plant at least one in your own garden or neighbourhood after an inspiring walk with Amanda and Chelsea.
