In celebration of National Eucalypt Day on 23 March, the Friends of Kings Park and Kings Park's Horticulture and Living Collections team will be hosting some special events alongside the Friends of Kings Park Native Plant Sale.

Come along to the Friends of Kings Park Native Plant Sale to select from a wide range of beautiful Western Australian native plants lovingly grown by the hard-working Growing Friends volunteers especially for this event. There will be 26 Eucalyptus species available to choose from! Have your horticulture questions answered, along with some special activities! 

  • The Friends of Kings Park’s Horticultural Advice and Support (HAS) team will be on hand to answer all your gardening questions 
  • A Q&A session with a panel of Eucalypt experts from the Kings Park Horticulture team
  • Take a Eucalypt walk with Amanda Shade, Manager of Living Collections and Chelsea Payne, Curator of Arboriculture and Kings Park Volunteer Guides
  • Meet and greet with Eucalypt botanical dye artist and 2024 Dahl Fellow, Geri Barr
  • Children's entertainer Silver Princess from the Adorable Florables will delight our young gardeners with craft activities and tales of Eucalypts
  • Snugglepot storytime and activities for the kids
  • Admire our special edition Perfect Specimens display featuring fabulous Eucalypts 
  • Guess how many gumnuts are in the jar for your chance to win a prize!
