Event information
This walk acknowledges the WA women named on plaques along Fraser Avenue from our starting point at Aspects Lawn. The plaques of women include the first Australian woman politician, the CWA, charities, welfare and education. Hear of the endeavours and achievements of leading and lesser-known Western Australian women, working for equality of women and children starting in the 20th Century. They worked tirelessly to bring forward many of the changes that are now in our society today. Learn about Aboriginal women, authors, medical practitioners and botanical artists while walking on the lower path. At the State War Memorial Precinct women in areas of conflict are highlighted.
