Eucalyptus torquata

Coral Gum

Vibrant orange-pink flowers cover this ornamental small tree through spring to early summer. Flowers often continue less prolifically throughout the year and are much loved by nectar feeding birds.

With a modest height of 4 - 11 meters, a uniform habit and an attractive rounded crown, this species is often planted in gardens and parks and is a popular street tree. Ornate buds and fruits and a drought tolerant nature add to its appeal!

The species name torquata is from the Latin torquatus, which means adorned with a rib or collar. This refers to the ribbed base around the buds and fruits of this species.
