Rhodanthe chlorocephala subsp. rosea
Pink Paper-daisy
This beautiful everlasting daisy creates carpets of pink and white flowers following winter rains.
These stunning annuals grow 5cm – 50 cm tall with terminal daisy flower heads from white to crimson - and all variations in-between!
In the garden they attract many bees and other pollinating insects.
Grow it at home
- Sandy soils in full sun preferred
- Suitable for pot cultivation, with good quality native potting mix
- Sow seed in May: direct to garden or in seed trays, planted out when 30mm high
- Apply slow-release, native blend 3-4 month fertiliser at planting / sowing, weekly power feed until flowering
- Watch out for slugs and snails
- An excellent dried flower
We like the sun! Everlasting flowers open fully in sunshine, but will close up in overcast or wet conditions, and at night.
