Love in the Time of Quenda - A Valentine's Nocturnal Walk

13 February 2025

Looking for something different to do with your Valentine this year? The Friends of Bold Park Bushland Guides will be leading a special evening walk to take in the beautiful scenery of Bold Park and to look for some of the charismatic critters that live there.

Event information

You'll receive special treats to drink and nibble on while watching the sunset over the ocean from the highest hill on the Swan Coastal Plain. As it gets dark, we'll walk the trails of the park looking for the nocturnal creatures, including quendas, possums, owls, spiders, and many more! Along the way, our guides will share their knowledge of the courtship techniques that our animal friends use to attract a partner. Who knows what romantic ideas they may inspire in you!

So bring your Valentine (or your Galentines best friends) for a fun and quirky evening exploring our local bushland.

Walk starts from outside Perry House, near the WA Ecology Centre. Wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather, and pack a torch to light the path after dark.

Please note that our guides will be discussing "the birds and the bees" of birds, bees, and other animals, so this event is not suitable for young children.

This event is supported by a Community Organisation Support Grant from the Town of Cambridge.
