Event information
WA plants have some extreme conditions to contend with which has lead to many amazing ways of coping.
The WA environment is characterised by a range of climate conditions and ancient and low nutrient soils that have not been replenished for almost 250 million years. Over this time evolution has produced a myriad of adaptations to allow these plants to survive. This has lead to an extremely biodiverse flora and complex relationships with birds and insects. Our plants are like nowhere else on Earth.
