Event information
Remembrance Day marks the anniversary of the end of the First World War (1914–18). Each year Australians observe one minute's silence at 11.00 am on 11 November in memory of those who died or suffered in wars and armed conflicts.
The annual Remembrance Day Service will be conducted in the State War Memorial precinct in Kings Park and Botanic Garden from 10.20am.
This event commemorates the end of the first modern world conflict that occurred on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918.
A moving tribute of thousands of knitted poppies around the Flame of Remembrance has once again been organised by the RSLWA in the lead-up to Remembrance Day and will remain in place until the end of November.
Please be advised that Kings Park will be very busy on this date. A small portion of Wadjuk Carpark (Kings Park’s main carpark) will be closed from 5.30 am to 1.00 pm.
